Abstract

It is clear that depression in old age presents with quite different symptom patterns that rep-resent a considerable diagnostic challenge. :
In particular, somatic symptoms and. cognitive deficits* are frequently apparent and depressed mood may be conspicuous by its absence.
The presentation of depression may be particularly confusing in the context of dementia. We experienced a case of depression with cognitive impairment in elderly and reported it with the review of literature.
